The Mayor of Bhopal, Mr.
Sunil Sood was born on 9th October 1959.He has done M.Sc.
in Mathematics. |

Mr.Sood has been
politically active right since his student life. He has been
regularly elected on the board of Bhopal Nagrik Sahakari Bank as a
Director 1986 onwards.He was elected as a corporator in Bhopal
Municipal Corporations elections held in the year 1994 for ward no.5 Koh-e-Fiza. He was also elected Deputy leader of opposition.He
repeated this by being reelected in the year 1999 elections and was
also elected as the chairman of the council.
Mr.Sood contested the prestigious election in Nov.2004 as a Mayoral
candidate on a congress nomination and was elected as the Mayor of Bhopal
city. Mr.Sood is also the Secretary of M.P.Congress Committee and
patronizes several social Literary and Sports organizations.
